One Score and Five Years Later

Salmonberry

I celebrated my 25th birthday over this last weekend. In fact, I am still celebrating by taking the day off from work today. One thing I've learned since I graduated college is that three-day weekends are sacred events that make my heart boil over with glee. And then I dance.

My goals this birthday weekend included seeing my best friends and being outside A LOT. Goals were accomplished. I spent Saturday outside in the Coastal Range shooting a variety of guns at cans and clay pigeons. My feet were happily soaked from the snow and jeans wet from the rain. It was glorious. My best friends made us all dinner and bought me an ice cream cake that made me wish my stomach was bigger for a day. Delicious. Thank you (you know who you are)! Today I've already spent hours outside and plan to continue the trend as I prepare my container garden for the coming season. I am also continuing some art projects that are slow but steady going.

I am still a baby. A resilient one. I am happy to be alive, and thankful for the people in my life who make me feel that way. I feel loved.

I actually hit a few of the pigeons... but don't ask about the overall ratio

Sighting!
